It seems to be just Rhythmbox's meta data base.
Ex Falso shows the correct tags, which means according to EF I would not need
to edit the tags in the first place.
So let me rephrase the entire problem:

I'm using Rhythmbox's 'properties' feature to correct my tags, just ran
across some files of which I knew that I'd already corrected them and
noticed the following:
For some tracks, I can change let's say the artist and title name, I
then clic
I am a complete dum***,
had the 'visual system beep' enabled, please delete this post before the world
gets to know it...

rather often to go back to typos to fix them or to delete entire phrases
holding down backspace.

1) Ive basically just been listening to music and noticed that the tags
are wrong; whether that actually means that they were altered or just
displayed incorrectly I dont know, im using ubuntu for 2 weeks by now.
2) I expected the correct tags to be shown, both in rhythmbox and in
