Check time on both server. I had some kind of problem (segfault on

I've been upgraded to Intrepid and my PC is worked fine. Since I have
upgraded to Jaunty and it works fine also. I used stock kernel (linux-
image-generic) every time. I had problems only with Hardy.

I've been upgraded from Intrepid to Jaunty just now. Gcompris was broken
after upgrade. with same error. The installing python-numeric worked for
me also. I'm think this can be fix adding the python-numeric to the
dependency list of gcompris package.

I've a workaround.
Recompiling the actual linux-image package with enabled AMD74XX module works
for me.
Steps are used:
(I write this comment from another machine and my machine is down at this
moment. So some path or command maybe not exact)
apt-get source kernel-image-$(uname-r)
cd
I'll try the linux-image-2.6.27-* series kernel and I'll write comments
here about success or not

There is some raid array constructed from not partitions but whole disks.
The mdadm package has a component that runs at boot time from initramfs.
(/usr/share/initramfs-tools/scripts/local-top/md)

You're right. My fix works work in my and the two other reported case.
It is a quick and dirty fix for some special cases.
I have spent ~4-5 hours to catch this bug. (A reboot takes up to 10 minutes on
