OK, there is a missed file in the Debian distribution, but shouldn't there be some note in mc.ini be placed about the [Colors] section (hinting that it is moved out to filehighlight.ini or anything) and shouldn't mc executable complain about the (deprecated?) "--color" command-line options together

Seems like disabling the visual effects (in the Appearance Preferences window) makes the system stable so it's most likely that the issue relates to how Ubuntu utilises 3D facilities of the core. Could anyone please confirm that: 1) The issue only appear with ASUS motherboards and 2) Disabling the

I experience exactly the same on Ubuntu 9.10 with the Core i3 540 processor on the P7H55-M PRO motherboard -- all are new, recently bought parts. I can confirm that it looks so that only the interface things freeze. One time such a freeze happened during a copying of a large amount of files. Despi
