Same here. But the problem seems to have disappearred. At least it has not
recurred in the past five days. Am observing.

Am using Ubuntu 8.04, Dell Latitude D520. Can't print with HP 1020, though I
have no problems when it is connected to the network. If I connect it directly
to the laptop with the USB, it doesn't print, though it says that printing is
complete.
This is what I get.
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ tail -f /v
That's right.

I don't know if this helps, but for my USB drive, the solution to Bug #151025
worked.
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-mount/+bug/151025 details as
follows:
HERE'S THE FIX:
Go into gconf-editor and navigate to
/system/storage/default_options/vfat/mount_option
I've tried removing gtk-qt-engine and executing it as root, but it's still
there. However, it seems that moveing .themes to other place solve the
problem.

Any dialog, and, in my case at least, any other tab after the firsth

Me too.
It's pretty annoying. I've tried with and withou compositing, and under
diferent WM's.
However... before (but after the upgrade from Feisty to Gutsy) it didn't
happened. Don't know why it started.

*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 63418 ***
My latest experience: I switched it off, then I was able to boot normally. I
switched it on again, and again the boot-up was normal. I'm using a Latitude
D520. Since then, there have been no problems.
