Hello, thanks for this post James. This comes quite handy for me because
I'm trying to connect to a WPA protected Wireless Network using this
feature also for quite some time and it was not working.
I'm using the latest up to date Ubuntu 11.04 also on a Dell Inspiron

Even after upgrading to version 3.0.4+nobinonly-0ubuntu3, I had to do
the workaround for thunderbird to work again. I Removed the .thunderbird
symlink in my home directory and mv .thunderbird.upstream to
.thunderbird.

I'm experiencing this behavior too, but I'm not sure if it is really
related to pulse-audio.
I have observed it only happens when I use the Xine Backend in Phonon.
When I switch to Gstreamer, everything seems to work fine.

This is the only serious reason why I do not stick with Rhythmbox as my
main music player. When your collection is organised as Artist/Album
from music ripped from original CDs, this option is a must have in a

was worse. My Laptop was freezing for no reason while I was doing normal
task (Firefox, matlab, playing music, ripping music, working on a Xterm

Here what I had done. First, I opened Sound juicer, Second, I fetched
the info on the album, third I disconnected my internet connection and

I installed the KNetattach via the Add/Remove manager of Ubuntu. After
that, when I try to start Koctave it now does a bug report that is very
similar to the one gcordoba as posted.

I Finally found out what the problem was. I have a ATI Mobility Radeon

I understood. The problem isn't really a "bug". It's just that my

When I change the wallpaper it's ok. I have the feeling that it has
something to do with my video card or something that doen't support the
