This is probably mis-categorized, but my xubuntu 8.10 (64 bit) fully
updated system has been crashing about once a day. I haven't been able

If I understand correctly your problem, I think you can use the
ssh_config setting 'PreferredAuthentications while using ssh (ssh -o
PreferredAuthentications password) to have it prefer the password over
the key when you don't want it to use the key. Another option is to
disable the ssh-agent bg pr
I cannot reproduce this bug, I think it falls into the we'll never
really know category, but I figured reporting it and perhaps having
other people find it might be useful.

I got this yesterday 2 seconds after I got the same WARNING as in Bug
#287453. I was resuming from suspend on Xubuntu 8.10 (fully patched)
64-bit, and it just hung, wouldn't respond to anything (no numlock
lights, etc...). I forcefully rebooted and this is the kernel BUG/OOPS

I am running Ubuntu 8.04 with sudo version 1.6.9p10 and thinkfinger-
tools 0.3+r118-0ubuntu3. When I try to use sudo with the -S flag and
pipe it a password, I get the following error:
~$ echo foo | sudo -S whoami
Password or swipe finger:
*** glibc detected *** sudo: malloc
That did it! Bastille must have made klogd not be able to run with the
proper permissions. Thanks you so much for your help guys.
I just gave /sbin/klogd 755 permissions

The marks didn't seem to go to /var/log/syslog, heres the output of the

If I re-run genprof, it calls logprof and I get (almost) nothing:

Here is my pidgin profile, though regardless of what application
violates it's profile, none of the messages get logged properly. I used
genprof to make the profile, and I get a violation every time I try to
save or send files (which violates my profile)

I believe the bug is in the function: void RGFetchProgress::refreshTable(int
row, bool append)

Well, I've tried a number of the podcasts in .ogg format, and none of them do
anything out of the ordinary. However, I'm running feisty, so perhaps it's an
