Nvidia and ATI both have algorithms that clock down the GPU when it is not in
use. Since compiz effects require significantly more GPU power, the GPU will
be clocked up for processing the 3D effects compiz requires. Higher clock

I got this problem as well after upgrading from 4.0.0 to 4.0.1 - kdm-

I get this as well with the latest PPA packages but with Konsole so it
doesn't look to be application specific.. and it happens quite a bit
(but not every app launch)

Camorama worked with it too. Camorama may not have a problem. It might be that

The machine this happens on has been upgraded since dapper or edgy... Maybe

recognised at install time. It is an old isa ne2000. I add the module
name and options to /etc/modules then configure /etc/network/interfaces

This is a minor issue, but if you attempt to copy a non-existent file to
an existing host, scp fails to detect this basic issue until *after* you
have been prompted for the remote systems password.
Steps to recreate:
1. scp this_file_does
Running 2.6.22-14-generic gutsy on a Dell Inspiron 1100. When adding two
different vfat usb drives the lights flash but the drive does not mount. I can
mount it from the command line

When I attempt to mount it using gnome-mount I get the following:

I just tried n-m 0.6.4-ubuntu5. Same problem.
Same reaction, an immediate apt-get remove network-manager to restore
working behaviour.
