The issue is that libclutk/unity attempts to use fragment shaders when
they are not available on the card. I imagine there are still a fair few
laptops out there with old cards (marketed as directx 7) especially in
the low end range. I think the only shader in use in unity is the blur
for behind

Karmic includes panasonic-laptop instead of pcc_acpi. A userspace
program is required to receive input events (shortcut keys) and control

I can confirm this bug exists for jaunty and karmic on my Panasonic
CF-T4 laptop. This laptop model uses the same kernel module (panasonic-
laptop) for this functionality. Since the switch from pcc_acpi.ko to
panasonic_laptop.ko these laptops no longer use acpid for the function

are plugged into are powered during suspend (My asus motherboard required me to
change a jumper so USB is sourced from +5VSB rather than +5V). Also check for
