Restarting Nautilus fixes the problem.
I don't know if it helps any, but I encounter it more often when there
are many tabs open and I peceive it as happening more on a mounted SMB

I missed the pointer to bug #882307. I do not think the duplicate status

I have the problem on my Thinkpad T410. However the problem only
started for me when I added a second battery "slice" to the bottom of
the laptop.
It disturbs proper power management as it thinks power is low (measuring
percentage power left instead of remaining time given current
consumption).
Public bug reported:
I edited a note (my oldest "TODO" note), locked the screen and went away
and when I came back all notes had disappeared - even the windows with
each note had gone. Looking in "Search All Notes" reveals an empty

My notes are still in their place in the file system

This is still a big issue on WiFi-enabled workstations. To put it into
perspective, we have upgraded from 8.04 LTS to 10.04 LTS and shutdown
still takes around 40 minutes for the 16 cifs mounts in FSTAB on four
workstations. Users are seriously inconvenienced.
As hinted earlier, a workaround coul

I've given up on this. I am at a loss to understand how Rhythmbox can

file system as the other applications on the system. I.e. Movie Player

The music just stopped playing again and I got the same error again.
Reissuing the gnomevfs-ls command fixed it again. The computer connects
via 802.11g on an Atheros chipset which may be the cause for some minor
network instability. It seems that although Ubuntu as such handles this
