I can not open or decompress a 6 GB zip file created on Windows (both
with WinZip or Windows' own tool). The command line tool zip tells me
"zip error: Nothing to do!". Also unzip and the Gnome archiver failed.

My problem seems to be related to yours. I use a 3Com Ethernet card
(3c59x module) connected to a 100Mbit switch. Unfortunately the
connection is established by default with 10MBit. To connect with
100MBit I have to add the following line to /etc/modprobe.d/options:
options 3c59x "options=0x008"
What does "fix released" mean? For me the problem is still existing,
also with the most recent upgrades.
