Public bug reported:
After running openbox for a random amount of time (usually a few hours)
window resizing and maximizing will cause Xorg to crash with a
segmentation fault. Relaunching Xorg no longer causes behaviour until a
few hours later. Tested on both standalone openbox and LXDE, precise
Public bug reported:
While in the middle of defragmenting a mounted ext4 partition e4defrag

This bug has been fixed in the 3.4 kernel (IIRC). So what I've done to
fix the problem is compile the appropriate kernel module into my running
kernel.
Download the latest stable snp release of compat wireless, extract and run
$ ./scripts/driver-select
Select the corresponding driver and run
$
The Realtek driver installation fixed the problem only temporarily. Can
no longer write to SD cards.

Public bug reported:
After getting a new laptop, Acer V3-551, for a long time I could not get
the inbuilt Realtek PCIE RTS5209 to mount in read and write mode. It
would always mount it in read only mode. After trying out many possible
solutions, I just compiled the driver from the Realtek website
Quick fix, courtesy of Steven Kurylo (skurylo):
I used gconf-editor to change the following settings:
compiz-1 general screen0 options active_plugins
and I moved scale to the bottom of the list. Scale now works; however
expo didn't. I then moved expo to be below unityshell, but above scale.
Confirming the actions posted above fix the problem.

If a script requests root privileges with gksu while a right click menu

I installed and booted with the current kernel (2.6.35-999-generic).
Nothing changed and /sys/class/backlight is still empty.

Also here is the Windows application for using the keys, prepackaged by
Fujitsu Siemens. I don't know if this can help somehow, but it might
come in handy. :)

I've formated mine many times over, and am still experiencing the same
problem. I am currently dualbooting though, with all the drivers and FS
