Been having that issue for a long time. Stops all my internet
connections and yet when I check the status bar sometimes it only reads
a few KBPS (I imagine that torrent 'overhead' is the problem but that
seems uncontrollable since I've set speed limits well below my bandwidth
allowance).

Its true - in a sense - a similar bug was produced after a recent update
to grub which caused similar errors as this one - I got a "blocklist"
error and while I could still boot Ubuntu I could not boot Windows.

Grub and restor

I'm not sure what principle of KISS would imply bogus speed reporting.
I think a car is a good example here because the interface a person has
with a car is generally considered quite intuitive and simple and not in

during the boot (random keys) will secure me keyboard access when the
safe mode options load. If I don't use the keyboard during boot it will
be locked out to like in a regular boot. From the safe mode I can

Same problem here. Bug also affects Firefox 3.5 both independently
installed (from tar.gz at mozilla.org) and from ubuntu debs.
I notice that in the new (and shiny!) sound interface it does not list
Firefox as playing/recording sound as it does when Totem or another app
is running.

I think I've narrowed this bug down to the ath9k driver that was
included in the 2.6.27 or 2.6.28 kernel. This issue does not affect all
hardware configurations. I am using the Athereos 5008 chip on a DWA-552
PCI Wireless N adapter.

I am not sure if what problem I am having is an IPV6 error but the
Internet since Alpha 5 now pauses (no activity, not even with router)
