As far as I can tell this has nothing to do with banshee. If I try to play music files directly from nautilus it will work (vlc, banshee, rhythmbox) however I notice that on banshee and rhythmbox sometimes it will freeze and you have to move the time slider and it will start playing or it says

Guess it was crashing because the galaxy nexus doesn't like .wav files, figured out that if I clicked on device properties I could change the transcoding options. While still being slow to recognize the galaxy nexus and mtp still being a bit unstable at least it works. -- You received this bug
