This error message appears whenever you try to open a VTK file inside of
Paraview. The OpenFOAM developers also ran into the same issue and found
a solution by setting some flags when building Paraview. See the thread

The problem still exists for me with TeXstudio 2.6.2. In the sourceforge

The software updater is not showing any packages that need updating even
though there are apparently 3 updates available and it is going to
download 49 kB.
This has been happening for the last couple of weeks, before that it
worked as expected.

I have since updated my BIOS to 2.53 and am now running kernel
3.8.0-27-generic on Ubuntu 13.04 and have not had the same problem
since. Due to the intermittent nature of this problem I cannot say for
sure that this solved it, though it is no longer an issue for me.
