This may be a graphics issue. When I click on the show desktop button
or use ctrl-alt-d the image of firefox pasted against the desktop
background and Icons. Often horizontal segments of firefox's image is
static instead. And even less

I'm not sure if a screenshot will make the error obvious. Its more of
an animated error.
You can see it on your computer easily with these settings.

non-fixed width font is selected for the application font in
appearance settings, then the default clock used by ubuntu will shift
