[Bug 773897] Re: Natty classic desktop window rendering issue

2011-05-02 Thread Javier Acuña Ditzel
Looks like it's a maximus issue. This workaround worked for me: 1) Open CompizConfig Settings Manager (compizconfig-settings-manager) 2) Go to Window Decoration Plugin (under Effects) 3) On the "Decoration windows" field, replace "any" with "!state=maxvert" (without the quotes) -- You receive

[Bug 445829] Re: Text on "Games" menu it outside of window

2009-10-18 Thread Javier Acuña Ditzel
I think this bug could be related to a failure in handling the Games sub-categories (as described in http://library.gnome.org/devel/menu-spec /#category-registry in Additional Categories table). Karmic's gnome-menu comes with Games-Logic sub-category enabled (check Alt+F1). If you disable it on pre

[Bug 219385] Re: File filters can make file selection dialog too wide for screen

2009-10-14 Thread Javier Acuña Ditzel
As Martin Brook said, it actually happens on netbooks. And not only for the dialog width but the height as well, as you can see in the snapshot. So, I suggest to consider both aspects. I use an HP Mini 110 (1024×576) ** Attachment added: "Dialog box too large horiz and vertic in small screens"

I can confirm this bug too. Something I noticed: there is more blank space between the first and the second rows of icons than between the others. This only happens in Games menu. -- Text on "Games" menu it outside of window https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/445829 You received this bug notificatio

Same issue here with Karmic beta (linux 2.6.31-11-generic) on HP Mini 110-1030NR. I could fix it following the steps described in: http://art.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=8008760 No Internet access nor "live CD" needed. Just a couple of commands on the terminal. -- [regression] Broadcom 43

[Bug 437590] Re: Nothing happens when I select Fil es & Folders » Volumes » xx GB Filesystem

2009-10-09 Thread Javier Acuña Ditzel
Same issue here on Karmic beta. It makes little sense to display launchers for filesystems if nothing happens when you click on them. It's confusing and nonpractical, specially for the novel user. Even if asking for a password is unfriendly itself, its better than do nothing... so, I would agree
