OK, I uninstalled gaim. "sudo dpkg -l | grep gaim" shows no packages, nothing installed. I used synaptic to remove the packages with the "remove completely" checked for each. I deleted .gaim with "rm -rf ~/.gaim" Now, I install gaim: "sudo apt-get install gaim" Selecting previously deselected pa
