Public bug reported:
New version of plasma desktop has serious problems when used with
touchscreen. When I tap anywhere on desktop or panel, my tap is
recognised as tap in some corner regardless on the place, where do I
tap. This makes Kubuntu unusable for anyone with touchscreen. If you

have a look at debian sources, this bug affects only ubuntu based
distros, touchscreen works fine everywhere else (debian, fedora, mageia,

I can confirm this bug on Toshiba satelite u920t. It seems to be related to
some plasma widgets. How to reproduce:
- Change menu to classic (it makes this bug to happen unpredictably)
- add any plasmoid on desktop
- logout/login
- touchscreen will work until you touch plasmoid on desktop
- restart

It's interesting that in kubuntu 8.04 everyting worked fine, but when I
installed kubuntu 8.10 I have this problem too. When I try to add new
file to the project or create a new file in the project window, quanta
hangs. When project is stored locally, it works.
