I also have this problem. I have a brand new (made Sept. 2009) Acer
Aspire One and I am running the 9.10 Notebook Remix.
My wireless interface is: AR928X Wireless network Adapter (PCI-Express)

can unexpectedly shift into a type of full screen mode that hides the edges of
the window so that the close-restore-minimise buttons at the top right cannot
be accessed.

normally. Background picture and splash appears, then system appears to
freeze. Ctrl-Alt-Backspc must be used to get back to login screen.
