maybe "unhidden" is the right word if it describes an in app "hiding" of
the webview - by another page in the stack for example.
I am not into how this is handled, but it sounds like we talk about the
same effect ;-).
A quick fix could be just to not paint it black but e.g. in background
color

I think one should readd oxide to this, as it occures in other oxide
webviews also.
It seems that oxide puts a black background before being able to rebuild
the page.

The check for enabling the the connect button is ssid not empty or password
less then 8 characters. Any true for you?
Do you connect over 'connect to hidden network' in systemsettings or via
click in the network indicator?

Well, we just took the minimum password length from other authentification
modes. In general, your paasword is safer the longer it is. So, as a workaround
you should change your passwprd to a longer one.
One has to discuss then, if that check can be disabled for future releases.

Cannot connect to WPA/WPA2, EAP-PEAP, MSCHAPV2
I have similar problem, I've noticed that if i change USB port my
pendrive will work. It is not USB port problem - plugged into it mouse

Pendrive: USB pqi (microSD inside) it is some kind of microSD card reader
