I have a similar problem with an ASUS centrino laptop. Wireless networks are scanned OK and appear in NetworkManager, but trying to connect to my AP (using WPA) doesn't work (no green lights whatsoever, and the authentication dialog keeps reapearing). It's a fresh install, made a few hours ago, with all the updates (installed using a wired connection).
The old install (Ubuntu, don't remember which release), initialy worked perfectly for a long while, but stopped working (eventualy after an update) and got shelfed until this clean install. The laptop is a dual boot machine, and Windows access is working OK. I would be happy to help with any required info. -- ipw2100 error Fatal interrupt.
