I can confirm that the patch fixes the problem that switching back from
HD TV (dvb-s2) to non-HD channels received (dvb-s) did not work for me
(conexant cx24116 or 118 chip, )

karmic): network-manager-gnome together with dnsmasq does allow
forwarding network connections on kubuntu karmic.
