to add or remove files from indexing exclusion on the fly? It already
does this for mdutil on OS X, and probably can be done on Ubuntu as an
analog if Tracker supports doing this.

Urgh I was just about to deal with this, then realized the package is in
main now. Anyway, u-u-s should be unsubscribed and a core-dev should be
located to bump the version. There's a get-orig-source target already so
updating to 1.01 is quite trivial; the resulting sources I've confirmed
to build

description to reflect your discovery in comment #22 and then I'd say

I'm gonna decline the nomination to gutsy for this bug because it's a
lot of effort for not much benefit. Since the use of prevu already
strongly relies on backports, the newest versions of prevu are available
in the backports repository. If anyone disagrees feel free to speak up.

this bug appears fixed in the new Hardy upload of gtkpod-aac 0.99.12 as
the conversion scripts have been rewritten.
