wpa_supplicant process will 'wake' it up and network connectivity will

Public bug reported:
xserver-xorg-input-synaptics 1.6.99 has a bug where tap-to-click and
scroll-wheel functions do not work even when active... They work fine
in 1.6.2 which I have downgraded to when using both Ubuntu 12.10 and
Bodhi Linux 2.2 with 3.7.1 kernels...

I too took the plunge and upgraded (not clean install) Karmic Notebook
Remix on my Asus eee 1000. Brief history, I had Microsoft Mouse 5000
pairing problems too. The work around turned out to be a permanent fix
in Jaunty.
After the upgrade was complete, and reboot, the mouse would not pair.

I ran into the same issue on upgrading as well. I used the Synaptic
Package Manager, removed open-office.org-filter-bin. Then did the full
upgrade (not a partial), then went back in and added the file. The onl
Today I auto updated to kernel 2.6.28-15 and also allowed the bluez updates to
4.32-Oubuntu4.1. After the update I rebooted once and fully shut down and
brought the pc back up. The blue tooth MS 5000 mouse paired automatically both
times. It looks like this issue has been resolved.
Thank you!

Auto updated to kernel 2.6.28-15 (ubuntu remix) on my Asus eee 1000 today. The
Microsoft 5000 blue tooth mouse auto reconnected and worked after reboot and
full shut down. It appears this issue is fixed.
Thanks.

Mihai,
Yes the bug is still present on Karmic Alfa. I made a usb drive image
and booted off of it and had the same results. I am using a Asus eee

Mario instructed me not to use it. The last post I saw was that this

David,
I opened a another Bug case similar to my description about 6 posts
above this. I provided more detail in the new case because it was an
update that caused the issue this time. Here is the link, see if it
works for you.

Clarification:
The bluez version I am referencing is the Ubuntu package id. The actual bluez
version is 4.32.
Installed version that works on my netbook is 4.32-Oubuntu4

I can confirm this bug as well. The work around works fine. I can not

The Microsoft 5000 mouse worked fine under Intrepid.
