No, I don't think that is the only issue. I'm trying to import OpenVPN
files provided by StrongVPN.
One of them is an older VPN file that does not have inlined certs. This
one used to work with no problems in Xubuntu 14.04. Since upgrading to
Xubuntu 16.04 I get an error when trying to import it.

I installed Lubuntu 14.04 on a netbook today using the text based i386
alternate installer. The manual configuration of encrypted LVM was just
like it was on 12.04 and worked like a charm. Too bad all the other
ubuntu distros have abandoned the alternate installer in favor of
Ubiquity! Thank you

upgrading from 10.04, and, later, when doing a clean install. In each
instance I tried purging and reinstalling grub using a live-cd following

tried restoring
I'm now running Ubuntu 11.04 beta 64-bit and VMWare Workstation 7.1.4
and the problem has disappeared!

Natty to downgrade to the old version of udisks as was the case in
Lucid.
I will note that some of us engineer types still rely on floppies to
record data. We do this because we are using older test instruments with

For reference I'm using VMWare Workstation 7.1.3 build-324285 and Ubuntu
10.04 with a Logitech QuickCam 9000 USB Webcam.
I'm not sure if this is a bug with VMware or Ubuntu. In any event its
clear that they DO NOT play well together when using Logitech 9000 USB.
For example,
I tried kb1605 workaround. It only works with click on touch mode.
This is fine for opening programs, tapping menus but useless if you
intend to use the stylus to draw or write on the screen with something
like xournal.
I have yet to try Ernesto's suggestions. More later...

I also ran into this bug when upgrading from 9.10 to 10.04 RC on an Asus
901 modified with touchscreen that uses eGalax driver. Everything worked
great prior to upgrade but I got the same jump to upper left corner
type of behavior no matter what version of eGalax driver I used. I've
reverted to
to modify default settings on LVM volume
size (especially on swap) without having to go through a completely
manual encrypted LVM installation.

Using Ubuntu 8.04 Alternate AMD64 installation on system with 1.5 TB
3ware HW RAID 5 setup.
Selected auto partition using encrypted LVM. Installation proceeded
normally.
Upon reboot I find installer created an LVM swap area of 499 GB with the
remainder going to LVM ROOT.

A word of warning to those who have removed the file 65-dmsetup.rules. I
had found that this temporary fix worked quite well on all my machines,
but got burned when an automatic update of cryptsetup got installed
without me thoroughly considering the possible ramifications. The net

I've seen this bug as well. It occurs with firewire and usb drives. It
appears to assign a new device name each time the drive is plugged in. I
wonder how many times this would have to happen before something bigger
breaks? This bug is very frustrating since I'm using fully encrypted
disks
