Fresh install of 9.10 on a Dell E6400. This laptop has both a touchpad

Getting back to this problem, it would appear this is to do with the
dynamic libraries not being created correctly. Running ldd on any of
the libpetsc* files in /usr/lib reports nothing and their filesizes are
all about 30bytes.
