Setting pid in memcached.conf causes strange behavior

I just installed the nightly build package on 13.04 AMD-64. Solid
backgrounds and gradients are fixed, HOWEVER, the background still goes
black when you select a gradient, then click the "<-->" icon between the
two colors to flip them. Please investigate and consider re-opening
this.
