I am experiencing the same thing as tstrike on bug #1813165 on the qemu
launchpad (https://bugs.launchpad.net/qemu/+bug/1813165).
When I create a new VM, it quickly goes into a paused state and never
seems to start working. Log shows emulation failure.

I am updating the status to new as I am experiencing this bug on a Dell
Latitude D630 system. When I press two keys at the same time and depress them,
one of the keys will continue as if I'm holding it down. For example, if I tap
the m and n keys at the same time, I will get this:
Also on Kubuntu 10.10. This bug has existed in all previous revisions of
[k]Ubuntu I've used (back to 8.04).
