Mangler was working fine for me in 15.04. I'd upgraded to 15.10 (along
with adding a skylake chip/board/ddr4) things were broken, mostly due to
hardware. After I finally sorted it all out (bios update, linux 4.3 rc5
for either video or e1000 freeze), mangler is still broken.
Given ubuntu wants to ship with Unity 3D by default, having a 3D capable
driver would be really nice.

I'm the reporter on #765079 -- it didn't seem like a duplicate to me
either, but it also doesn't appear to crash with gapless on any more, so
in any case it probably doesn't matter that it was marked duplicate.

Yes it happens every time. Also happens under firefox and chrome's
F11-fullscreen then ^W (to close the app) and then I'm sitting at a
desktop with no interface. For me this is specifically with the Ubuntu
Netbook Edition session, which I installed on top of a standard amd64
desktop install.
