I don't think this should be considered normal behavior. Almost every other kde-4.1 package is labeled by its usual name, not ending in -kde4. Amarok is in the repository, both as amarok (amarok 1.4.10) and amarok- kde4 (2 beta 1). This would be fine, except upgrading from hardy, running kde-3.5
