On my system, notify-osd is using 700MB of RAM and 1.5GB of swap. All
it's been doing all day is putting up Banshee notifications of new
tracks. I had to kill the process.

When I am trying to save files using FTP over gnome-vfs, it fails with
the message "%s is not a valid location. Please check that you typed the
location correctly and try again."

At the moment I've only tried VLC. The slider moves, but no sound is
outputted. I'm not sure if it's using Pulseaudio though. I've installed
the extra pulseaudio tools so I can test the other programs out.

I have tried Rhythmbox and Totem.
Whenever I try to play a video file, it shows the track information etc.
but the slider does not move and no sound/video is played. Following

This would probably mean instead of installing the System Upgrade helper
in the /tmp folder, it would be installed in /bin or /usr/bin or
somewhere where it could be considered as a "proper" program, even if it
is going to be removed after use.
