it freezes
at first i just logout
then i actually open process to kill the process
then i figure if i click on the location bar /home/Documents on the same
window, it allows me to get back control
but i have to tap a few times which is still annoying and this is just
to regain
It appears when you right click and the context menu appears, you can
not tap on the Rename item, you need to do a hard click, meaning, if you
have a system with touch-pad, like a laptop, and you are use to tapping
and not clicking on the touch-pad, it is actually 2 different functions
on the Ubunt

I have had a similar issue. I installed kubuntu 7.10 on i386 yesterday,
installed ssh-server, then performed a dist. upgrade. Having said that,
the errors reported when I looked at it with sudo dpkg --configure -a
were about corrupt archives, a removed, purged, cleaned and reinstalled

Ndiswrapper v1.49 seems to fix the torrent/multiple large downs = crash
problem. (so I'm confirming that as a fix)
I'm not sure about NFS however, I haven't done any tests to see if
there's still an additional underlying issue.

That would only make sense if everyone here was using Realtek wireless
cards. As you can see though, I (for instance) am using a D-Link (ACX
module) card, and many of us (although not all) are using Ndiswrapper as
well.

This was also tested with linux-image-lowlatency, kernel version

I have tested this with both the -rt and -generic kernels and with and
without Nvidia as the display driver (in case it was some kernel module
craziness). The result is the same in both, although turning off Nvidia
causes the length of timeof contiguous high network activity needed
before a hang to

I noticed this as well with everything up to date. Login time has to be
roughly 30 seconds to 1 minute. Sometimes the background image refuses
to load if I've done a logout and login as well (unless I open the
Appearances GUI).
