Thank you very much for your work, Guillaume! I've used the .deb package
to install de driver and it's worked perfectly in my VGN-NR21S with a
Nvidia 8400M GT. If you need any information about it, I'll be glad to
collaborate.
By the way, Merry Christmas to everyone!

Since you modified your script I can use my FN keys to up/down the
brightness.
Just a comment: Before installing your script I was able to see my
brightness bar without any result. After executing it I can’t see the
bar, but it really works now!
Thank you so much!

@Shawe
Before executing your script I was able to see the brightness progress

continues without work. My laptop is vgn-nr21S. If you need further
information about my bug, please contact with me. I’ll be glad to help
you.

Hi Everyone,
I've got a VGN-NR21S Sony Vaio. I've installed the package:
“nvclock_0.80b3-1_amd64.deb” and it works fine. If I want to change the
brightness level I can only do it using the console. Also I've installed
“install-FnKeys-sony-nvidia.sh” but, unfortunately this doesn't work at
all.

Hi everyone!
I've got a vgn-nr21s Sony vaio. I've installed the latest Ubuntu version, so
Ubuntu 8.10. Everything works fine, except the brightness. I mean, the fn keys
work perfectly, but the brightness doesn't work at all.
My graphic card is a Nvidia 8400GT.

I'm not able to change the brightness using my FN keys. When I use them I can
see the progress bar, but the brightness doesn't work.
I tried to change the brightness using my control panel as well, but the result
is the same.
