Here (Ubuntu Jaunty) the workaround works, but sadly that's quite
inconvenient for non-techie users.

I have a similar problem.. I used to be able to sync my Treo 650 with Ubuntu
(Edgy-Jaunty) using plain pilot-link, but with Karmic my Treo crashes every
time I start the hotsync. However I think the issue is not with gnome-pilot or
pilot-link, because it crashes even if I _don't_ start any

Yes it is reproducible, here are the steps:
- Boot Ubuntu 9.04 desktop i386 CD
- Go to: Places - Network
- Browse to: Windows network - [workgroup] - [samba server] - [share]
- Drag a file from the share and drop it on the desktop, while holding
CTRL+SHIFT
An icon will appear on the desktop,
For the record, I tried to use the 2.1.9 package for Jaunty on Hardy,
and it works.

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: python-mako
Hi,
I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 and I'm trying to install python-mako for a little
project of mine.
When I try to install it (via apt-get, synaptic or whatever), apt follows the
recommends packages and so it tries to install python-beaker, which
I just tried to install mako from source (version 0.2.4) and I see that
it actally _depends_ from Beaker... So maybe it would be better to
change recommends in suggests between python-beaker and python-
sqlalchemy instead?

I'd like to point out my usecase for this feature :) When an updated deb
is released, I'd like to wait a few days before applying it, as an
attempt to avoid oops we fixed this but broke that-patches.. So a
date column in Synaptic would greatly help.

Simple enough, from Subversion 1.3 to 1.4 the file format changed, and since
eSVN at the time didn't use the SVN library to check the local repository
status, with Subversion 1.4 it broke.. :(
It looks like the next version of eSVN will fix this though, I tried the
trunk version some months ago
