I can confirm with the latest kernel, and it seems to be an issue with
the free radeon driver as when switching to fglrx there are no issues.
Note it's the CPU fan not the GPU fan that's running hot.
Graphics card is RadeonHD 6970
kernel is Linux Prime 3.0.0-12-generic #20-Ubuntu SMP Fri Oct 7

I seem to be able to play the dvd (Dark Knight also), but attempting to
backup with thoggen or any other dvd accessing application gives me this

otherwise.

I can second that, although more specifically I get the bug when
reconnection occurs after cycling the wireless hardware switch.

Which Java package do you have installed?
Which Firefox extensions do you have installed?

Yup, all bookmarks disappeared. I had previously been running Firefox
using sudo trying to debug another problem I've been having. Needless to
say I didn't fix much by doing what I did ;D Still new to this whole bug

I've experienced a similar problem. All my navigation buttons were
greyed out and it seemed as if all my settings weren't being loaded. I
would get a blank page upon load. Turns out some of my files in my
.mozilla directory were owned by root. I solved it with a quick sudo
