Now I got it working.
No sure, whether this is expected this way. Please not there is not test
application for bluetooth testing in ubuntu's system test application. Thus I
have used the test application playback_headphones and set manually in
Ubuntu's sound preference configuration the input
Still it does not work.
Please not that ubuntu's sound preference configuration application from
the taskbar does not show any external audio devices, when I plug-in my
cable headphone. A connected bluetooth headphone is shown though. See
error 454696.

I finally got the internal microphone working using Mainline kernel. (Not
tested with Ubuntu kernel). I had to go into ubuntu's sound preferences and do

I have updated the system to the latest Ubuntu software packages using
synaptic.
Now:
- the selftest to switch to vt works fine
- the cycling through all supported display resolution works fine
- switching to vt using Ctrl+Alt+F1 works fine
- switching from vt to desktop using Ctrl+Alt+F7 works

Forgot to say, that now were the nouveau driver is running, the display
quality seems to be even better as the display quality of the driver
'nv'.

manual switch back to desktop.
