i am having the same issue with Asus FX503v laptop, GTX1050. I am on 18.04 kernel 4.15.0.29. It was freezing whole computer up but adding i8042.request into grub, freezing went away. It is still very sensitive and opening one tab in chrome might open 6 at once. My touchpad is Elan1200. -- You
