I can confirm this behavior in Kubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon. When launched
from Adept Manager, the Software Sources dialog (Manage Repositories)
automatically reloads the package cache (Fetch Updates) when a
repository is added, removed, disabled, or enabled. It doesn't do so for
Adept Installer.

this introduces a new bug that Treviño has filed upstream, since it
mainly affects KDE.

Hi! I'd just like to follow up on these bugs:
1. System Services: Is this still happening? This is actually more a
kde-guidance bug than a systemsettings bug.
2. This has been fixed in KDE 3.5.5 and later, as per bug 55470

What KDE version are you using? Are you still experiencing this after
upgrading to Edgy or upgrading KDE to the latest version?
I vaguely remember experiencing this behavior in Dapper but not anymore
in Edgy with KDE 3.5.6.

I cannot reproduce this bug. Using Kubuntu 6.10, KDE 3.5.6
This looks similar to a KDE bug filed last year but has already been
closed.
