I am experiencing the same issue with Network controller: Intel Corporation
WiFi Link 5100
Everything was working perfectly with previous versions of Kubuntu (i am using
KDE), but Oneiric 11.10.
The connection is extremely slow and drops to 0 Kib.s. I am able to get a
correct speed
and here is what the terminal gave me:

By using the openoffice packages officially released for K/Ubuntu 9.10
Karmic, OOo writer is unable to open a file without the .odt extension.
for example, on Ubuntu/Kubuntu (kde and gnome) i create an odt file on the

The bug with the flie-open has only been tested with Kubuntu karmic.
(not gnome).

OK, i think i am a bit stupid by reading my previous post i would say that
the behavior of openofice about the file-open dialog box is normal the
filter *.* should display all the files with the . inside. and a file without
extension does not have a . !
