I wish the firmware vendors would provide a minimal changelog so we'd
have an idea what we're getting. Sigh. Anyways, if this is a regulatory
update only they're likely not able to really test that (with a
reasonable effort). At the minimum they should verify that they can
still establish Wifi and
linux-generic keeps you up-to-date with the 6.8 kernel. linux-generic-
hwe-24.04 keeps you up-to-date with the HWE kernel which is currently
6.11 from Oracular and then 6.14 from Plucky and then 6.x from Q until
the next LTS.

Thanks. The reported incorrect name is not an issue, just a bogus
string. The real problem is that the driver constructs a seemingly
invalid firmware name. Last test before I take this upstream, can you
run this kernel [1] and report back (dmesg output)?

By default flash-kernel installs the kernel with the highest version as
the boot kernel. In your case this was 6.11.0-1010-raspi. To override
that:
$ sudo flash-kernel --force 6.11.0-1009-raspi

Thanks @jbicha. GNOME snapshot works but I have to manually run
`systemctl --user restart pipewire` after every login for Firefox and
GNOME snapshot to see the camera. I need to chase that down.

Also add libcamera-v4l2 for 'cheese'.

On the X13s libcamera is used to drive the internal camera. For the
camera to be recognized in apps that make use of pipewire, pipewire-
libcamera is required. Add it as a dependency.
