I installed the release from the server-install CD, then 'apt-get install ubuntu-desktop', without problems.
Then I created a repository-DVD of the downloaded packages to transport them to another machine and tried to repeat the process with this DVD. THERE I got this error and had to use 'dpkg -i --force-overwrite' What is/is there a difference between installing from CD/DVD or installing from internet?
