I can also confirm that the touchscreen and stylus are working again on
my Lenovo Yoga C740 on the recently released version 5.8.0-49. I believe
we can consider this fixed.

Also happening on my Lenovo Yoga C740. Added this to package "linux"
because "ubuntu-release-upgrader" has nothing to do with this. Reverting
the kernel back to 5.8.0-44 fixes the problem.

Scratch that. It is not. I was confused because the VPN DNS server is
actually communicated to systemd-resolve, but it is not set as the
"current DNS server".
