Just a quick note that I've just upgraded to 13.04 alpha on my macbook
air 5,2 and external DVI displays now work beautifully. Not sure what
changes have caused the fix, but maybe they can be back ported for LTS
folks.

I see these same symptoms on my macbook air 5,2. I've tried two
different (24 and 23) Dell DVI monitors without success. For me, the
external monitor usually goes red when I plug it in the second time.
Sometimes this hangs the whole machine, sometimes not. In either case
the only way to get the

It looks like the left mouse button is stuck down. The mouse pointer
won't move unless I hold the (integrated) mouse button down and drag it
around.
This is on a Macbook Air 3,2 (2010 vintage).
The trackpad works beautifully before resume.
