gnome-screensaver-password-field or GDM jump to a root-shell when it's crashed?
When this happens, I'm not in the encrypted root partition, but on the boot

I have a encrypted lvm-system (alternate install) and the boot partition starts
the plymouth password field. But at the same time, I can change to text mode by
pressing Escape and I can change the consoles with Alt-F* af
Juhu, everything was ok now!
Maybe the change to percentage was the solution or maybe not going
through d-bus, but directly to pm-utils. Because I tried suspend
manually through dbus and it fails:

I don't know which package and which config files are responsible to start the
hibernation progress. The hibernation works when started manual. The message
that e.g. 10% are left is showed. When ca. 4% are left, the Laptop turns of
immediately. How can I reset the behaviour pm-utils-*, laptop-mo
Removing grub-spaces did not help. I had to comment out upstart-consule-
outputs because of a wrong starting order. But even now sometimes the pc
can't be shutdown, but the runlevel seems to be ok.

Hehe, I had no runlevel because of a space at the ending of the kernel
line in /boot/grub/menu.lst:

I have the same problem, my nautilus and epiphany (without "-p") are not
working after a poweroff while having much apps running. Deleting
epiphany-settings doesn't work, nautilus can't start even after the update
yesterday.
