Where can we find the evidence of this patch being backported into the
current LTS kernel?
I thank you for, and trust your report, but would also rather make sure
before updating kernels on my machines.

This is still an issue with 11.04. I cannot believe it! The worst part
is, none of the kernel parameter workarounds seem to work for me :(. Who
do we have to pay to get this fixed?

I was schocked to find out that this is still an issue in Maverick! As
usual, setting GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="acpi_osi='\"!Windows 2009\"'" works
for me on my Asus UL30A laptop with Intel GPU.
How can we get someone to notice this bug and fix it? I can only imagine
how many new Ubuntu users are put of

Installing you 2.6.35-power+18.24~lucid kernel package actually
increased the number of wakes in my case. Also, it broke brightness
adjustment for my laptop. Or am I installing the wrong kernel? I
basically added your PPA, and then did sudo apt-get install linux-
image-2.6.35-power+18-gener
I'm confirming that the workaround works - thanks!
