I thought the USB-stick is in a pristine condition.
One error was reported, but that use to be the case in the old days too.

When I install Kubuntu 20.04 and then VM with another Kubuntu 20.04
(virt-manager) then keyboard randomly stop responding and Ctrl+c and
Ctrl+v doesn't always work. If I close virt-manager / shutdown the VM

upgraded to Precise and I can sent files from PC to phone only. Sending

I just took the time to try all combinations (pae/non-pae host pae
/non-pae guest) and all combinations seem to work.
It only takes a lot of time to start up (but an approximately equal amount of
time in all combinations):

Ignore my previous post. It worked because I didn't load the kvm_intel
module. (I should have been tipped off by the fact that it was so slow).
with kvm_intel loaded,

I have tried with -cpu qemu32,-nx as suggested at verious places, but it

I have also tried manually installing meerkat from

I'm not sure if there is any direct relation... but there is a bug in
libblkid, the blkid command believes that whole iPod disk (e.g.
/dev/sdd) is unpartitioned device with FAT filesystem. Try:
blkid -p -o udev -p /dev/sdd
The incorrect output is
