The desktop_is_home_dir setting should be on by default. This way users
will less likely to lose files and folders put in their home-dir. My
parents lost track of files put automatically in their home-dir by some
applications while they expected to find them on the desktop.

I have the same problem on a freshly installed hardy install (kernel
2.6.24-16). A lot of times wireless networks just don't show up in NM's
list while I'm in range. This didn't happen in gutsy with the ipw
driver.

uninstaller does it), if wine is installed, and list those programs too
and when the user chooses to remove this application, call the
uninstaller (as wine does).

system submenu of the Applications menu. Wine would be better
integrated within Ubuntu if this feature was incorporated within the
