Same problem. 13.04 on Lenovo thinkpad X230. The problem is intermittent for me; at times, the settings revert immediately after closing the window; otherwise, they'll be temporarily saved, and then revert upon reboot. Hitting 'x' versus alt+f4 produces varied and seemingly random results as to whether settings are saved or not.
