My issue is not a "screen lock" either, just plasmashell locking up as the
original bug & title state.
I can still task switch, VT switch, use my programs, etc. just the desktop and
panels+widgets are non-op & plasmashell has to be force-killed and re-launched.

Here is the console output of one plasmashell session from start to
frozen:

Whenever I unlock my screen after it being locked for a few minutes, the
KDE panel and desktop is frozen. I cannot click on the desktop or side
panel to task switch. Alt-tab works. I have to force-kill and re-
launch plasmashell from another terminal.
