I've tried boot-repair and many other solutions, but I was always getting an error that boot/efi directory was not found. Finally I tried disabling the UEFI mode and it worked like a charm. I don't know why I've never seen anyone mention to disable this, instead I just found more discription of

I tried to use boot-repair, but it's giving the error efi directory not found. I tried fresh download and also tried multiple times by trying to format a partition in the front of the disk, every time some booting problem occurs, but boot-repair used to work. -- You received this bug

Actually in older versions the cpu usage % would increase as we continuously refresh using F5, and the icons or the mouse pointer would show loading symbol, but in 13.04 mouse is not showing the loading symbol and not only that the cpu % in conky or multiload indicator are not showing increase in
